Kemper was imprisoned in California after committing ten murders, including his mother.
Helping Holden[]
While waiting for Manson to agree to see them, Holden and Bill went to see Kemper, who was recording audiobooks. They asked him about why he returned to the scenes of his crimes. He explained that he could sometimes stave off the need to kill by recreating past crimes. He also told them that if they wanted to know about the Manson murders, they should talk to Tex Watson instead of Manson himself. ("Episode 2.5")
